About the event
The group will be facilitated across two different local spaces, each connected to local therapists or social workers, ensuring participants have access to professional support and community based care.
Whether you’re seeking validation, practical tools, or simply a safe place to be yourself, this social provides an affirming atmosphere where diversity of thought, feeling, and expression is celebrated. Together, we create a space that honors both queerness and neurodivergence as sources of strength, resilience, and joy.
The group social will run bi‑weekly in the evenings from 6:00–7:00 p.m., beginning as a pilot project and continuing for five sessions until June 2026, with a pause over the summer months. Sessions will alternate between Healing Connections and North Bay Counselling Services, and participation is limited to adults 18+. To maintain a safe, comfortable, and intimate environment, the group will be capped at 10–12 participants. Light snacks will be provided at each session.
