Independent Contractor Opportunities
Healing Connections Psychotherapy Inc. is growing, and we are currently seeking two independent practitioners to provide services within our welcoming North Bay clinic:
Child Therapist — RP or RP (Qualifying)
Couples Therapist — RP or RP (Qualifying)
These are independent contractor opportunities for clinicians who want to work within a warm, creative and collaborative clinical environment.
We’re looking for more than the right credentials. We hope to connect with therapists whose personalities, clinical values and approaches complement the atmosphere at Healing Connections: genuine, welcoming, inclusive, trauma-informed and deeply human.
Independent contractors manage their own caseload and professional responsibilities while benefiting from opportunities for referrals, administration support, connection and collaboration within an established practice setting.
Child Therapist
We are looking for a therapist who genuinely enjoys working with children and understands that children often communicate through play, creativity, movement and connection, not only through words.
The ideal practitioner:
Is registered as an RP or RP (Qualifying) in good standing with the CRPO
Has experience or a strong interest in working with children and families
Is playful, patient, creative and able to connect with children at their level
Has training in sand tray therapy or a genuine desire to learn
Is interested in play-based, attachment-focused and trauma-informed approaches
Understands the value of caregiver involvement and family systems
Is interested in developing and maintaining a child and adolescent caseload
Is comfortable supporting concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma, school difficulties, neurodivergence and family transitions
Brings initiative, creativity and enthusiasm to their clinical work
Our child therapy spaces are intentionally designed to help children feel safe, comfortable and engaged. We would love to welcome someone who is excited to use the environment creatively and bring their own clinical style to the space.
Couples Therapist
We are also seeking an RP or RP (Qualifying) who is passionate about helping couples move beyond recurring conflict, disconnection and painful relationship patterns.
The ideal practitioner:
Is registered and in good standing with the CRPO
Has experience or a strong interest in couples therapy
Is comfortable holding space for conflict, emotional intensity and complex relationship dynamics
Practices from a relational, attachment-based and trauma-informed perspective
Has training in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy or another couples-focused approach—or is interested in pursuing additional training
Is comfortable supporting communication difficulties, trust injuries, intimacy concerns, infidelity, parenting stress and relationship transitions
Is interested in developing and maintaining a couples caseload
Is compassionate, grounded and able to balance the experiences of both partners
