Alida is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She holds a Social Service Worker Diploma from Canadore College and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from Nipissing University.

She has gained meaningful experience through her work with the Near North District School Board (NNDSB) and the Canadian Red Cross. For ten years, Alida also worked with Hands thefamilyhelpnetwork.ca in Live-in Treatment Services, the Lotus Youth Centre, and on the Child and Youth Crisis Line.
Through these roles, she developed extensive expertise supporting children and youth with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, and depression, as well as adults navigating anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Her training includes Play Therapy, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Outside of her professional life, Alida resides in South River with her husband, their six children, and two rescue dogs, Piper and Skye. She offers a 15-minute consultation to determine if she would be a good fit for your needs.
