At Healing Connections Psychotherapy, we believe that every young person deserves a safe, supportive space to understand their emotions, build healthy relationships, and grow into confident, resilient individuals. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Growing Connections Group — a weekly therapeutic program designed specifically for youth ages 11 to 14.
This age is such an important—and often challenging—stage of development. Pre-teens and young teens are navigating new emotions, social pressures, self-identity, and the transition toward greater independence. Our goal is to provide them with the tools, skills, and connection they need to thrive.
🌟 What Is the Growing Connections Group?
This group meets Tuesday evenings from 7–8 p.m. and offers a warm, welcoming environment where youth can learn essential emotional and social skills. Each week focuses on a different topic designed to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, confidence, and healthy peer relationships.
The group combines:
Psychoeducation
Emotional skills training
Creative and reflective exercises
Peer connection
Trauma-informed, youth-focused facilitation
All in a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere that helps kids feel comfortable being themselves.

💚 Why This Group Matters
Youth often struggle silently with:
Big feelings they don’t yet understand
Pressure from school, peers, or social media
Anxiety, frustration, or emotional overwhelm
Difficulty expressing themselves
Challenges navigating friendships or conflict
This group helps normalize these experiences and teaches participants how to navigate them in healthy, empowered ways. It also lets them know they are not alone, creating a sense of community that is deeply healing.
